This meditation is to help relieve feelings of stress and exhaustion. It also helps you let go and relax, bringing tranquillity and a sense of calm, equanimity and evoking a feeling of happiness. Exhaling through the mouth sends a signal to the hypothalamus for the body to relax and let go.
Sit in easy pose to begin. Place the right hand on top of the left hand, bringing the base of the palms to together, and rest the thumbs on the index fingers, bring the hands up to heart level. Close the eyes and focus on the brow point. Inhale deeply through the nose, and exhale through the mouth into the cavity of the hands. Stay aware of the breath throughout.
